At the Way to Health Foundation, we are dedicated to bringing hope and healing to Cité Soleil, Haiti— one of the most challenging and underserved communities in the Western Hemisphere, maybe even the world.
Known for its extreme poverty and ongoing gang violence, Cité Soleil faces significant barriers to healthcare, clean water, and basic sanitation.
Despite these challenges, our team, led by local Haitian heroes, delivers life-saving medical care and education directly to the heart of this vibrant community.
Community-Driven Care
Cultural Integration
We respond to the community and its culture, incorporating local communication methods like megaphone announcements in Haitian Creole to ensure messages resonate with residents.
Local Empowerment
We conduct training sessions to equip local volunteers with skills in healthcare delivery, cholera prevention, and water treatment education, fostering ownership and empowerment.
Data-Driven Decisions
Our team meticulously gathers information on household health needs and disease prevalence to tailor our efforts effectively, ensuring maximum impact for the community.
